The night featured a number of special guests and the Board of Governors who presented the students with awards for their hard work throughout their studies. The guest speaker of the night was Ms O’Neill who provided inspiring words to the young people of the college.

“This is a celebration of your achievements. What I love about those achievements is that it tells us all something important,” she said.

“Not all of us shine in the same way, we’re all different and that’s okay. We’ll all have our own strengths whether it's through sport or music or drama or arts or in the classroom.

“Most of all, I want to say to you - back yourself. You are always good enough. You were born equal. Make sure you bring that through your life.

“I encourage you all to wake up everyday knowing how great you are, how amazing you are, that you should always be proud of what you have achieved and be proud of the community in which you come from.”

“Their achievements are a testament to their hard work, commitment and perseverance, proving that no matter what life throws your way, when you set your mind to something and work hard, incredible things are possible.”

“As you close this chapter and begin the next, we hope you carry with you the knowledge of just how capable, strong and extraordinary you are. Whatever road lies ahead, we have every confidence that you will go on to achieve amazing things.”
